8 weeks (at least we think)

Richard and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday. All we did was go out to dinner, very exciting huh? With it being a weekday and me not feeling so hot, it was the best we could do. Plus since this was an unexpected pregnancy, we've got the whole how are we going to pay for everything fear! It's still hard to believe that we've been married for three years. Time flies by so fast. I remember being young and thinking that things took forever and I hated waiting for stuff to happen. Now I just wish everything would slow down!

As far as me, I am doing much better. Zofran is my new friend. I still have some nausea but not like I was and I am not throwing up :) The only negative is the one bad side effect of the this drug. Constipation. I've never been one to have this issue but with this drug, its a different story. I am just counting the days until I am out of the first trimester and can start feeling somewhat normal again. I still have little energy and find myself always wanting to take a nap. I was having some trouble sleeping but it seems to have gotten better. I do have to get up at least once a night to pee.

My one struggle right now is to be excited about this pregnancy. Everyone we tell or see, is all excited and telling us congrats and saying how excited I must be. And I really am excited deep down, its just squashed under feeling miserable. It's kind of hard to be excited over something that makes you feel sick everday and zaps your energy.

I am excited about going for our first ultra sound and finally getting see our little peanut or gummy bear as some blogs have called it. Richard found this blog that goes week by week and for the 8th week, its says our little one is the size of a gummy bear! It's just amazing how we are created and how we start out so small! It's comforting to know that God is in control!

Hopefully our next blog will have some ultra sound pics and all kinds of fun news and not just news of me feeling yucky!

Happy Mother's Day, I hope you all get to spend sometime with your moms!
