Almost normal

I am on the way to feeling normal again, well not sick everyday at least. I don't wake up feeling sick everyday so that is a great thing! It really depends on the day and how long I go between meals. Some mornings I wake up and I feel sick right away and I know that it's going to be one of those days. Those are the days I take my zofran and do as little as possible. But most days I wake up feeling fine. If I go to long between meals I will also start to feel sick. Sometimes I will get busy with work or doing things around the house and I don't pay attention to the time. I will get that sick feeling and look at the clock and realize its been 4 hours since I last ate. If I can eat right away I am usually good to go.

The biggest I have yet to get used to is the tiredness and the eating all the time. Well I feel like I eat all the time. As I mentioned before if I go 4 hours or more in between eating, I will start to feel sick. I don't know about you, but I didn't always eat every four hours before I got pregnant. I would eat lunch around 12 and not eat dinner until 6 or so and it was no problem. Not anymore, I have to at least have a snack in between. It definitely makes for interesting days when I have to drive to Greensboro. I not only plan out lunch or dinner, but I have to make sure I have snacks for the day and the drive. I starting walking and/or doing light exercise most days for at least 30 minutes. I hadn't exercised in so long, the first day I started I was pooped after 5 minutes. I still can't go a whole day without needing to take nap. I don't just mean I feel tired and wouldn't a nap be great, I mean I get headaches or I literally can't keep my eyes open.

Driving in the car is the worst time for me. Its almost like motion sickness, except I feel sick whether I drive, sit up front or in back. It's wierd. I will feel horrible like I am going to blow chunks any minute and then once I arrive at my destination, I feel fine. Long drives are the worst, like driving to Greensboro. But once I arrive I am fine. It's weird, I know I said that before but it is.

The other thing that is difficult to get used to is peeing all the time. I was never one to get up in the middle of the night to pee. When I lived in Greensboro I could work all day and never use the bathroom once. Now I am lucky if I can make the hour and 1/2 drive to or from Greensboro without having to stop to pee. I usually wake up at least once during the night, twice if I go to bed early. I hear it only gets worse, so this will definitely take some getting used to. I told Richard the real reason new mothers are so exhuasted isn't due to the lack of sleep once the baby comes. It's the fact that for 9 months prior you're getting up every 4 hours to pee, and are already exhausted by the time baby arrives

All in all I am doing much better than I was just 4 weeks ago. I can finally see a silver lining to the sickness ending. I will be excited if I can go a whole week without feeling sick once!
